Seeing the emerging artistic talents coming out of the continent being platformed is always something to cheer. The exhibition 'Contemporary African Art II' did exactly that showing the stunning works of 8 artists from a variety of countries. Notably the pieces by artist Idowu Opeyemi Olaide stood out with his 2023 piece 'Breath of Fresh Air' being a catalyst to conversation about the often fear of using bright colour sometimes found in modern art. Something else to commend in regards to the exhibition is its general accessibility, from the 15th of July to the 15th of August the exhibition is open to all who want to enjoy the beauties of emerging African art.

Hosted at London City's Lighthouse Gallery & Studio the second variation of the curated exhibition 'Contemporary African Art' presented a mixture of artists from the likes of Ethiopia, Cameroon, Ghana and Nigeria all showcasing a brilliant ability to play with the characters of light and colour.
